I have been off line for a few days. Msssive malware and virus attack. Called the store that advertises heavily about how they can fix anything. Um, er, 3 to 5 days. About 50 an hour.
So I called someone else. Jeff. Jeff fixed it in a coluple of hours and installed a free Norton and a free trial of a Malware program. ($25. after 14 days). Total cost was $85.
I sure am happy to be back.

Hi all. Havn't posted in a while. I have Rhumatoid Arthritus and it is hard to type. I think of you often and read almost daily. I rejoice at your triumphs and mourn at mournable things. I am happy to say mostly rejoicing going on,
Back to thrashing about with my taxes.

Happy New Year!
According to the Chinese calendar, which is older than the Mayan one, 2012 is the gestation year of a new cycle. Korean friends call it the Year of the Black Dragon, “when good fortune is supposed to kick off and ascend into the sky as dragons do.” The black dragon is a water dragon, as is the dragon-king of the sea around Korea. Strength and prosperity will increase in a dragon year, and especially at the birth of a new cycle. Heheh! It should be interesting!
man o man I hope he is right. We could all use a better year.
Much love to you all

I thank my daurghter in law and granddaughter for the magnificent feast I have staggered home from.
It was a quiet day until I got to their home. Friends I see only once a year, I am so grateful they can still travel from various parts of the country. Hugs and glad cries all around.

It seems I have been away for almost 4 months. Stuff kept happening, including a major computer crash. It wouldn't turn on, then it would, then nada. Motherboard dead like a really dead thing. Machine had XP. A zoo insued. I bought a laptop (asus) and getting used to it has been odd. It has Windows 7. Nic got the hard drive out of the fried computer and we bought an enclosure. He then managed to get the data off of the hard drive and onto the laptop. Mostly. There are bits that are missing, (or I haven't found it yet) like my email address book.
One of the things that baffled me was the disappearing posts. I would write something and it would go away. Found out that it was going into a new window (I think). Anyway, I am mostly back. Missed you.

|couple of cays later
April Fool's day is over. Life is returning to its normal insanity.
Went to see the movie Ghost Writer today. Wow. Excellent film. I may even buy a copy. A lot of very big names are unannounced and playing small roles. The end title pages are done as a mss. Highly reccommended.

I have been so busy and tired I have neglected my LJ. Haven't checked on-line for weeks. I am so behind in reading about all of the wonderful things you all have been doing.
Me? Yesterday I finished administering the ethics portion of the Bar. Since this one is multi state, it applies all over the country. I had three buildings, two regular and one accommodated. It turned out to have a lowish enrollment,('only" 400) so I suppose it should have been easier to administer, but no.
I arrived at 7am to find proctors waiting for me. Wheee. The site facilities manager was no where to be found and things were not set up the way I had requested. Fortunately the site Manager was there and he put things right where he could. Nic reset some of the tables to make things better and the proctors set to, getting signs made and ready for the hoards of people milling about outside, trying to get in.
The test itself seemed to go well, but I didn't get out of there until near 2. Drove to the UPS and sent the boxes of tests on their way. My car is still filled with set up material and I am not feeling too perky.
So that is what I have been doing. Lifting, hauling and arranging. Happens all over again in August. In another building.
Another bunch of tests for other disciplines coming up, but this one (MPRE) is the toughie.
